News from Jack in Bangkok

Jack lives in the heart of Bangkok in Thailand so I asked him what it feels like right now given the recent protests and violence.

“A few nights ago I went to the bathroom where the window was open, suddenly I heard shouting in Thai followed by gunshots. I ran into my parent’s bedroom quite scared of what I heard. They urged me to go back to bed and so I did. Everyday is the same now Dad searching the twitter sphere for news and Mum watching CNN, BBC and Aljazeera while talking on the phone to her friends about what they had heard and seen. Currently no one knows what the future holds, but school is closed so it can’t be all bad.” – Jack, May 2010
